Perth’s Daylité Open Air Festival drops line up
With a European line-up that rivals those which pioneer the global circuit, Daylité Open Air introduces Perth to a fresh House and Techno festival experience in a world-class location at Palm Lane, along the East Perth River, on Saturday 9th March.
Spearheading this elevated experience is Higher Self Agency. Established in 2023 by Aeson McKay, the Event and Touring Agency was created to service events and tours across Perth and Bali. With over 15 years in the nightlife and entertainment industry, the enthusiastic entrepreneur believes that Perth is ready for a festival of this calibre.
“Daylité to me embodies elements more typical of electronic festivals you’d find in Europe, at least that’s our intention.” “A higher-brow event that caters to dance music lovers of any age, something we’ve worked hard to capture in our brand and lineup. I think our city is ready for a shift in this direction, with international names that pioneer their realms.”
Keen observers will note the lineup borrows heavily from Melbourne’s Pitch Music and Arts Festival, a collaboration Aeson says has been in the works since Pitch began some five years ago. “The calibre of techno and house on offer is second to none and wouldn’t feel out of place at events like AVA in the UK or Dekmantel in Amsterdam.”
Curators of unique musical experiences, Higher Self Agency have recently hosted huge names through Perth from the likes of Bicep, Folamour, Ross From Friends, Kettama and Laurence Guy. A festival experience for the eclectic sorts, Daylité Open Air will breathe a new lease into Perth’s event scene.
