Listen to a New bitbird Hyperpop Track From euphee, [lý],
lillybug and -Alow
The emotional anarchy of euphee is inescapable in his new single, "PROXIMITY EFFECT (who hurt you?)," out now via San Holo's bitbird imprint.
Produced in collaboration with [lý], lillybug and -Alow, the track is a crackling rush of hyperpop that stays true to bitbird's affinity for music that pushes boundaries and speaks to the untamed spirit within. Fueled by raw emotion and electrifying defiance, they've delivered an angsty, glitched-out soundscape that pulses like a frantic heartbeat.
The track's jittery production mirrors the tempestuous nature of inner turmoil and its lyrics paint a picture of someone refusing to be silenced. "Get outta the way, make room if you won't listen," snarls its vocalist, their voice laced with distortion and a refusal to let it shrink to appease others. "I exit the frame, it doesn't make a difference," they continue, adding a tincture of vulnerability peeking through the bravado.
"PROXIMITY EFFECT (who hurt you?)" will appear on the fourth installation of bitbird's create together series, which will feature 40 artists from 13 countries across four continents. The label says it's the culmination of its community-driven "create together month," an annual initiative that invites music producers and visual artists from bitbird's Discord server to collaborate.
