15 Jaw-Dropping Photos and Videos From Excision's Thunderdome 2024 You Need to See to Believe

It may be difficult to fathom, but Excision continues to outdo himself. Not even the word "spectacle" correctly conveys the scope of Thunderdome 2024.

The animation quality presented this year infiltrated the wider public consciousness. Excision's disturbed Shrek animations have become an obsession for everyone on social media—even Kanye West took an interest in his production.

But that only scratches the surface of the miracle work Excision and his team showcased between February 2-4. A Lord of the Rings battle with the Balrog, three-dimensional monsters popping from the screen and lights mimicking augmented reality set Thunderdome apart from any other live music experience.

Thunderdome is a pinnacle destination for bass-heads and those searching for grand audiovisual productions. Excision somehow packed even more lasers, lights and pyrotechnics into the Tacoma Dome this year. You could turn 180° at times and still swim in pulsing lights.

The emphasis on the visual presentation should not, however, overshadow the event's quality lineup. Thunderdome launched this year as a three-day event and Excision headlined the entire weekend, including Sunday's haunting B2B with SVDDEN DEATH featuring a surprise drop-in by Marshmello. Other highlights from the sold-out show were memorable sets by NGHTMRE, Wooli, ATLiens, Ray Volpe, Eptic B2B Space Laces and Bear Grillz & Bad News Bears, among others.
