Leading Hard Techno Promoter Verknipt To Launch Record Label

Verknipt, the world’s largest promoter of hard techno events, is expanding its genre influence even further by unveiling its new record label, Verknipt Records.

Hard techno’s global popularity has surged in recent years, and Verknipt has championed the high-octane sub-genre every step of the way. Adopting hard techno sounds from the start—as early as the brand’s founding in 2012—Verknipt events have proven to be a hotbed of talent, propelling the careers of hard techno stars.

Now, with Verknipt Records, the powerhouse brand will be able to cultivate rising talent even more, aiming to set the tone for “hard techno’s next generation of idols.”

“There really isn’t a label in hard techno with a platform as big as ours yet, so we’ll be able to add huge value to the artists we sign to Verknipt Records,” Verknipt founder Mer Hajbarati said in a press release. “Launching this record label felt like the next logical step to keep moving the needle within our industry. We’ve got so much planned for the next couple of years, this is just the start of it.”

Verknipt Records will officially launch this Friday, March 15, 2024, with the release of Irish producer Luciid‘s latest track, “Bunker Buster.” Verknipt says the distorted hardcore track is “a guaranteed crowd pleaser,” and it’s already garnered support from hard techno icons like I Hate Models, Nico Moreno and 999999999.

“I am honored to have ‘Bunker Buster’ as the spearhead track for Verknipt’s new record label,” Luciid said in a press release. “Without a doubt this label will be groundbreaking, and it deserves a radical track to kick it off.”

Verknipt Records will exist as an imprint within Be Yourself Music. Since 2005, the Dutch label has been responsible for successful releases from artists like Headhunterz, Brennan Heart, and more.

On the live events front, Verkipt will host events in its native Netherlands, across Europe and South America in 2024, most notably, the world’s largest hard techno rave to date. The event held at Amsterdam’s Johan Cruijff ArenA will attract 40,000 people.
