World Record for DJing a Marathon Being Attempted by

Gus Fraser is taking on quite the challenge – to set the Guinness World Record of “Fastest Marathon while DJing.” Fraser will attempt to run the London Marathon on April 12th and has a goal of raising £100,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Preparing for this record attempt has been no small task. Fraser has spent six months in negotiations with the Guinness World Records, working out the specific terms and conditions. The rules stipulate that he must complete the marathon in under five hours while DJing – a “tough” challenge, according to Fraser, as his DJ kit weighs a substantial 8kg.
Despite the added weight, Fraser remains optimistic that the music will provide him with the necessary motivation. “I am going to play a few crowd-pleasers,” he told ITV. The entire DJ set and marathon will be documented on video, and the track list will be submitted afterwards.

This endeavor holds deep personal significance for Fraser, as he aims to complete the marathon in memory of his father, who passed away from pancreatic cancer. Fraser describes the quest as his “personal crusade against cancer,” fueled by witnessing more loved ones suffer from the disease.
Fraser’s determination to take on this unconventional challenge stems from his desire to make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer. While he has completed Iron Man and cycling challenges, he felt compelled to do something truly unique for the cause, stating, “A regular marathon wouldn’t be enough.”
As the world awaits the outcome of this Guinness World Record for DJing attempt, Gus Fraser’s determination to honor his father’s memory and support the fight against cancer serves as an inspiration to all.
