Loreno Mayer, Quizzow, Paul Arcane And Brandon Mignacca Present ‘Lose It All’

Ready to kick off your weekend with the most savoury track out there?

Here at EDMTunes, we’re always over the moon to receive new music, even more so when it blows us out of the water. This is certainly a case in point right here. A handful of artists which are on our radar constantly, just teamed up to release a bomb. A Progressive Trance bomb, mind you.

On one side, we have Paul Arcane, a mainstay over here. With releases on Anjunabeats, A State Of Trance, Enhanced, and more, plus tracks such as ‘First Snow‘ with The Blizzard and, recently, ‘Hold Me‘ with Pete K and Amy J Pryce, he surely is one of the future favourites of this corner of Dance music.

And on the other side, we have the duo that never miss: Loreno Mayer meets Quizzow. Not long ago, we covered their release on Hardwell’s Revealed, ‘Without Your Love‘ alongside Alessa. That one was their fourth collaboration, meaning today’s release is their fifth. And let me tell you, they know how to craft. Very well.

‘Lose It All’

The track that sees the three artists come together goes by the name ‘Lose It All’, and is out now everywhere via AVA Recordings. The track, which features the heartfelt vocals of Brandon Mignacca, is a true Progressive Trance masterpiece. It flirts with the past sound of the genre, from around ten years ago. The beat at times sort of resembles Steve Brian and Jason Ross, their sounds back in 2014. And the break has that hugging, evolving warm atmosphere all throughout. It’s a very solid release, and one that I would show to a newcomer to the genre as a track that rocks all the defining elements of a proper Prog Trance piece.

Q&A With The Artists Behind ‘Lose It All’

That’s right — we got to have a little conversation with the minds who crafted the single, in particular, we got in touch with Loreno Mayer and Paul Arcane, who were kind enough to give us a bit of an insight into the track. Read on to learn more.

How was the song born? Who started it, who bumped it to who, we’d love to know the story behind it.

Loreno Mayer: “This track used to be a Progressive House track between myself and Brandon Mignacca only. I felt like it needed some different touch on the track and maybe needed to go more into the Progressive Trance sound. So I got in touch with my friend Quizzow. We started working on the new version, I came up with the groovy intro and he came up with these nice chords and the breakdown, we had the drop as well but we felt like it needed some more work, so we joined forces with our friend Paul Arcane who gave it that last polish and found a nice space for the vocals, he added some parts to the track which just felt right!“

Which of your sounds or influences can we hear throughout the track?

Loreno Mayer: “With the intro, I really tried to make drums as interesting as possible. I usually love to create random grooves, this one just fit perfectly and created a nice pumping intro to our track. Without all of us together this track wouldn’t be this good that’s for sure!“

What would you say was the most challenging part of producing ‘Lose It All’?

Loreno Mayer: “I’d say probably at the very beginning when I scrapped my old version and me and Quizzow were trying to make a completely new picture/structure from it; which in the end worked perfectly with the last and important touch by Paul Arcane!“

Paul Arcane: “The most challenging part for me was to come up with a melody that worked in the main melodic drop, although I managed to work it out after a few versions. Mixing & mastering required many revisions too, but in the end, I tried to make it sound as big and powerful as it could be!“

What can we expect from you all for this second half of 2024? What’s on your radar?

Loreno Mayer: “I have 2 more releases, coming 1 under Revealed and the other once again on AVA / Black Hole. After that, I have collaborations with Alexander Popov, Omnia, Vigel, the vocalist Joe Taylor, who works and writes for Tiësto, and many others! People can expect a lot of vocal tracks with many different vocalists and a few special tracks with my good friend Omnia, probably coming later this year or at the beginning of 2025.”

Paul Arcane: “Got a couple of EPs and remixes coming up in the next few months, more on the Progressive House side of things. Also recorded a very special DJ set with my friend Abaze on the rooftop of Hotel W, Santiago de Chile — which we plan to share in the second half of 2024!“

A set which, let me tell you, I still cry myself to sleep about not having attended. I’ve been there and the sunset parties at the W rooftop are absolute class. For reference:
