Faithless Confirm New Album With Uplifting Lead Single, "Find a Way"

Faithless, the legendary electronic music group behind "Insomnia" and "God Is a DJ," have officially confirmed their highly anticipated return with the release of a brand-new single, "Find a Way."

Known for their groundbreaking fusion of electronic beats with introspective and often profound lyrics, the group’s latest project continues their tradition of redrawing musical boundaries. Featuring the talents of spoken-word artist Suli Breaks, "Find a Way" serves as a vibrant precursor to the band’s upcoming eighth studio album, Champion Sound, blending infectious rhythms with a funky groove to showcase their renewed energy.

Champion Sound promises a rich addition to the band’s stacked discography—a testament to their enduring creativity and innovation, even after the tragic loss of frontman Maxi Jazz in December 2022 to a long illness. The production of the new album is being led by core members and seasoned electronic music pioneers Sister Bliss and Rollo.

The release was teased via an announcement on Faithless’ Instagram, but no date has been confirmed and details are still under wraps. Champion Sound follows the success of the band's previous album All Blessed, which released in 2020 after a decade-long hiatus and received widespread acclaim for its reflective sound. 

"As many of you have noticed, we’re back… Some shows have already been announced but we couldn’t start the summer without a little personal note," Bliss and Rollo wrote on Instagram back in April. "Maxi died just over a year ago and obviously we miss him every day. Thank you all for all of your kind words of support over this last year. It has really, really meant a lot."

"In the meantime, we never stopped (couldn’t stop, never wanted to stop!) making music," the band continued. "Even during Maxi’s long illness we recorded and released 'All Blessed' and now finally, 8 years after our last live performance, we are returning to festival stages across the summer and are planning some of our own shows later this year…"

Musically, the upcoming album promises to continue this trajectory: a homage to the classic Faithless sounds that incorporates contemporary influences and reflects the dynamic landscape of electronic music. Champion Sound is rumored to feature a diverse range of guest artists, adding new dimensions and fresh perspectives to the album. Previous collaborations have included artists like Dido, whose ethereal vocals added a unique touch to tracks like "One Step Too Far"; and Estelle, who brought a soulful energy to "Why Go?."
