Joshwa To Launch His Own Label: No Bad Fridays Records

Funky tech house favorite Joshwa is cementing his place in the scene with the launch of his very own label, No Bad Fridays Records.

The London-based artist’s marked rise has included hit tracks like “My Humps,” “Magalenha” and “Miracles,” respectively released on esteemed labels like Lee FossRepopulate Mars, Spinnin’ Deep and Chris Lake’s Black Book Records

Now, as Joshwa continues to break new ground in 2024, he’ll begin cultivating a label sound of his own with No Bad Fridays’ debut release “Get Stupid / Lluvia,” a spicy two-tracker due out this Friday, April 5, 2024.

Packed with Joshwa’s bouncy tech house flair, chopped vocals, and fat basslines, “Get Stupid” satisfies the scene’s growing appetite for UK sounds. Meanwhile, “Lluvia” melds Latin-influenced vocals with hypnotizing flute melodies to create an eerily intoxicating groove.

Each track embodies a sound that Joshwa has championed on his ascent to the big time. As such, the dual release, which has already garnered support from John Summit, Chris Lake, FISHER, Dom Dolla, Chris Lorenzo and more, stands as a fitting way to inaugurate his first endeavor as a label boss.

“With more house music to shake up the rest of the year in releases from Joshwa and his friends, there certainly won’t be a bad Friday to listen to new music,” reads a press release from the label.

Even more big plans are in the works, as Joshwa’s upcoming summer tour dates will see him play for venerated brands like Lovejuice, D4 D4NCE, elrow and Jamie JonesParadise in London and Ibiza, in addition to festival appearances at Beyond Wonderland Chicago, Day Trip and more. Find a complete list of tour dates below.
