Fans of melodic house and electronica may already know Massane, a musician from France who has found a home on Lane 8’s This Never Happened Label. Last summer, he released his sophomore album By The River, which draws on his creative energy from both the dancefloor and the people. The album features 12 tracks that stay true to Massane’s calming style while also exploring a range of genres, from guitar-driven melodic house to dramatic melodic techno and hints of pop. By The River kicks off with the title track, featuring Benjamin Roustaing’s powerful vocals and Massane’s beautiful composition of guitar and piano. Overall, the album is a cohesive and bold body of work that showcases Massane’s talent and range as a musician.

Have you heard of Aalson? He recently remixed Massane’s ‘By The River‘, adding his own spin to the popular track. Aalson’s version has a more melodic techno sound, with a focus on the synth and enhanced piano/guitar sounds. Despite the changes, you can still hear the undertones of the original track. enhancing the piano/guitar sounds.
Massane has just finished his tour in North America. During this tour, he played alongside This Never Happened Presents with Ashibah, Avoure, EMBRZ, Luzi Tudor, Nimino, Ocula, Otherwish & Rinzen. According to rumors, he is planning to release more remixed versions of his By The River album. If you haven’t had the chance to see him perform live, make sure to catch him at his next show. His live sets are a treat for your ears as he skillfully plays his guitar. In May, he will be performing alongside Lane 8, Sultan & Shepard, Ashibah, and Otherwish at Petco Park San Diego for This Never Happened Summer Gatherings.
