elrow Unveils Lineup For 2024 elrow Town Festival In London

RIKIO ROCKS 0 233

elrow has revealed the complete lineup for its upcoming elrow Town festival in London.

The famously absurd Spanish events brand known for its psychedelic decorations, live performers and confetti blasts will bring its hallmark festival back to the British capital—where elrow held its first-ever festival—on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Held at London’s Parsloes Park, the single-day event will feature performances from over 70 artists across nine themed stages and cater to an array of electronic genre tastes, ranging from house and techno to disco, electro, UK garage, bass, and jungle.

UK rave-influenced stalwarts Denis Sulta and Eats Everything will perform on elrow Town’s Dance with the Serpent main stage, alongside talented deep house selectors such as Fleur Shore, Folamour and Kitty Amor.

Meanwhile, a stage hosted by Eats Everything’s History of Rave party will showcase the UK’s diverse electronic genre ethos with a roster made up entirely of hometown artists.

This stage will feature UK garage heroes Flava D, Sammy Virji and Girls Don’t Sync, disco favorite Gina Breeze, and a remarkable back-to-back from Eats Everything, jungle pioneer Goldie and dubstep trailblazer SGT Pokes.

The last of elrow Town’s three main stages, hosted by La Discotheque, offers an additionally eclectic bill. Multi-genre South London legend Artwork will headline, in addition to performances from nu-disco staple duo Chromeo (DJ Set), funk-forward BBC radio host Craig Charles, groove-centric producer Dan Shake and the House Gospel Choir, among others.

Check out the full lineup for elrow Town London 2024 below. Stage-specific themes, games and additional details will be announced in the coming months.

On top of its extensive musical programming, elrow Town London will also feature over 200 costumed performers, immersive decor and experiences and “a lifetime amount of confetti.”

Watch the Legendary Skream and Flowdan's Entire Boiler Room Performance in Liverpool

RIKIO ROCKS 0 257

The pain of missing a rare set is a lot easier to manage thanks to Boiler Room.

Earlier in the year, the legendary Skream and Flowdan took the stage at the brand's massive Liverpool outing for a show to remember. Now, their complete set has been shared for all to enjoy.

In the recording you can hear Skream and Flowdan, who have been friends since they were teenagers, throw down iconic tracks from their storied careers as well as new releases from some of the most exciting young artists in bass music.

As one would expect from this duo, the selections were on-point, so much so that only minutes in, Flowdan had to politely ask Skream to reload only once per four songs. Skream, of course, hilariously responded with a reload just seconds later before taking to X to acknowledge his antics.

Yes there’s too many reloads….. ? https://t.co/DIhePCtCPf

Skream has been on a tear with many recent high-profile show announcements. Later this year he'll go open-to-close for four nights in Denver with his longtime friends and fellow electronic music trailblazers Benga and SGT Pokes. He'll also join Benga on stage at Coachella and Lollapalooza this festival season.

Flowdan, on the other hand, closed out an industry-shaking 2023 with a Grammy win for "Rumble," his global hit collaboration with Fred again.. and Skrillex. He was also named on EDM.com's list of the year's best electronic music artists.

Skream, Benga and SGT Pokes Announce Four Nights of Open-to-Close Sets in Denver

RIKIO ROCKS 0 275

No longer do American dubstep fans have to seethe with jealousy.

Back in October, Skream, Benga and SGT Pokes reunited for their first performance together in a decade at London's famed fabric club. It was a remarkable night that left fans and artists alike glowing over the reunion of these pioneering artists—and begging them to take the show on the road.

Since the trio is from the UK, American fans were pessimistic about the chance to catch this rare performance in the States. Fortunately they've now announced four open-to-close sets in Denver this spring. Fans outside of Colorado will also have a chance to catch a performance from Skream and Benga at this year's Coachella two weeks before their four-night run.

Skream, Benga and SGT Pokes will take over The Black Box in Denver on April 23rd and 25-27. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 2nd at 10am MT. You can find out more and purchase passes here.

UK Dubstep Legends Skream, Benga & SGT Pokes Slated For Four-Night Run In Denver

RIKIO ROCKS 0 265

The U.S. bass capital is set to welcome UK dubstep royalty this spring.

Today, The Black Box Denver has announced a special four-night run of shows from Skream, Benga and SGT Pokes, with all three legendary genre pioneers slated to perform open-to-close sets on April 23 and April 25-27, 2024.

The announcement follows a return to the limelight for both Skream and Benga in recent months.

Over the last decade, Skream has dabbled in nearly every genre thinkable, from house and techno to breaks and Nudisco, breaking out from the bass-forward sounds with which he helped define an entire genre in the 2000s to early 2010s.

With the release of his eighth Skreamizm EP in September 2023, the dubstep innovator has now gone back to his bass roots, playing deliberately marked “dubstep sets” at festivals like Okeechobee and Lightning in a Bottle, in addition to his own Skreamizm club nights at fabric.

The very same club night saw Skream team back up with his dubstep partner-in-crime Benga in October, setting the tone for another epic performance for Boiler Room in Liverpool last weekend, which featured Benga’s first solo set in 10 years.

Skream and Benga will continue to perform together throughout the summer, with B2B sets planned for Coachella and another Boiler Room gig in London this August.

As momentum builds, the pair has now recruited another UK legend in SGT Pokes, who will make a rare U.S. appearance amid a relatively quieter international touring schedule.

This already iconic dubstep meeting-of-the-minds is even more special for local Denver promoter Sub.mission, who have organized the legendary reunion 17 years on from booking Benga as their first-ever international headliner in 2007.

Tickets for Skream, Benga and SGT Pokes at The Black Box Denver will go on sale here, this Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10AM MT.
