Hamdi Teases New Marshmello Collab At Coachella
From linking with drum & bass “dons” Chase & Status to dropping his unreleased Skrillex collaboration, Hamdi’s Coachella debut last weekend was full of defining moments. However, tracklist treasure hunters will be interested in one moment: a teaser of his new collaboration with Marshmello.
“Yo does anyone want to hear some new Hamdi and Marshmello right now?” the producer can be heard shouting from the Do LaB decks in video footage from the set. “This is the first time this track has ever been played.”
The new track, featuring a vocal hook encouraging listeners to get “fired up,” did just that, sending the crowd into a frenzy with an expert blend of Marshmello’s hip-hop sensibilities and Hamdi’s OG dubstep flair. The artists have yet to set a release date for the track.
“Still hasn’t sunk in that this set happened – one of my favourite ever for sure!” Hamdi wrote on Instagram. “The vibe was incredible and was kinda shocked that so many people came through and saw the set!”
Hamdi’s 2024 release calendar will begin tomorrow, April 18, with the release of his Simplicity EP. The three-tracker, which has found a home on the UK’s seminal dubstep label DEEP MEDi, will be released in both digital and vinyl formats.
The tail end of Hamdi’s currently underway U.S. tour will see him touch down in Pontiac, Michigan, Chicago, and Minneapolis this weekend. He’ll then return to EDC Las Vegas in May ahead of appearances at Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Tomorrowland, and more this summer.
