Kygo Shares Heartwarming Encounter With Terminally Ill Canine Twin at Music Festival

Over the weekend, Kygo's Palm Tree Festival became the backdrop for a particularly wholesome meeting—one between the globally acclaimed DJ and a terminally ill dog who shares his name.

The Hamptons were buzzing this past weekend as Kygo's Palm Tree Festival delivered another unforgettable experience, featuring performances from Swedish House Mafia, Sofi Tukker and more. But amidst the spectacle, another tender moment was unfolding backstage.

The story of a terminally ill dog named Kygo recently touched the hearts of thousands online, and the dog's owner, Ashley, had expressed a heartfelt wish for the husky mix to meet his namesake. Suddenly, the wish became a reality after Kygo the DJ invited Kygo the dog to Southampton for the festival.

The meeting was a poignant reminder of the bond between humans and their furry companions. The Norwegian dance music superstar welcomed the dog with open arms, gifting him a Palm Tree Crew bandanna. The dog's owner reciprocated with a "Kygo Krew" hat and t-shirt featuring his face.

The touching encounter was part of a whirlwind weekend for Kygo, who also celebrated the release of his self-titled album. From the synthwave-inspired "Surrender" to the vulnerable dance anthem "Me Before You," KYGO showcases the producer's evolution as an artist while staying true to the uplifting sound that his fans have come to adore.

The heartwarming meet-and-greet was facilitated by The Dogist, a popular dog-centric Instagram account. Kygo the dog's story had first garnered attention on the platform, leading to a $10,000 donation from The Brady Hunter Foundation to assist his owner with treatment costs.
