SABAI Releases Emotionally Stirring 14 Track Album ‘North Star’

One year ago, SABAI released ‘North Star‘ in collaboration with Hoang, capturing hearts and minds of thousands of fans across the world. And now the Vancouver based artist continues to inspire and encourage listeners of his music to seek their true purpose with his emotionally stirring 14 track album, North Star. This epic release serves as the perfect launchpad for his highly anticipated mainstage performance at Lost In Dreams festival this Saturday.

Out now on SABAI’s labels Hidden Horizon and Ikigai, North Star features an impressive roster of collaborators. From the genre-bending stylings of Elephante and Fuslie to the boundary-pushing sounds of Synymata and Afinity, the album boasts a diverse soundscape. Listeners can also expect contributions from other melodic bass artists such as Hoang, if found, GISHIN, and ONLY GAIN.

Beyond the production and sound design aspects of the album, Gene has enlisted a stellar cast of vocalists to elevate these tracks. Linney, Ridgely, Casey Cook, Donna Tella, and Lexi Scatena all lend their distinct voices, transforming North Star into a truly immersive auditory experience.

With such a powerful combination of creative forces, North Star promises to be a landmark release for SABAI. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just discovering his sound, this album is sure to ignite your senses and get you into your feels. Known for fusing his productions with raw emotion, born through beautifully composed melodies and exquisitely layered vocal lines, each track in the album is no different, tugging at your heartstrings with each swelling note. Fans are already familiar with ‘Daydream‘, ‘Harder to Breathe’ and ‘Say It Like You Mean It‘ immediately connected fans to the raw, authentic and open messages behind each single. Newer tracks ‘Somebody to Love‘ with Synymata and ‘Heart Don’t Work Like That‘ with Affinity are newer additions that strike emotively with its delicate piano chords and ethereal vocals.

Last night, SABAI held an intimate show/album listening party over at Avalon Hollywood where he shared stories behind each song. To make it even more special, he had album contributors perform with him such as Elephante, Hoang, Casey Cook, Ridgeley, and more.

Here’s what SABAI had to say about the album:

““North Star” is about the journey we all go through while searching for our life’s purpose. All the experiences we go through, from childhood to now, create this invisible compass inside us. Falling in and out of love, facing pain and loss, dealing with challenges, and celebrating wins— each moment and emotion shapes this internal guide. We might not always understand the significance of each experience, but this beacon of light is always there, quietly guiding us towards our life’s purpose.”

SABAI had an impressive international tour run this year, selling out multiple stops such as Academy LA, NOVA SD, and TIME OC. Following this album launch, he’s announcing a 22-stop “North Star” album tour for this fall. Stay tuned to his socials to see where he will be playing near you!
