Oblivion Sound Lab – Paradiso – Soundbank for u-he Diva
Oblivion Sound Lab is a small audio software company specialising in producing plugins and synth soundsets.
Run by developer and sound designer Jonathan Nicol, they have been on my radar for some time and consistently impress with both the sound quality and aesthetic of their products.
This new collection of 100 sounds for u-he’s Diva is no exception. Paradiso is an expertly curated set of Italo Disco sounds covering the full spectrum of basses, arps, bells, leads, and other elements needed to revive some of that 80s magic. They are all highly playable, with effective use of modulation and relevant effects, making them suitable for both retro and modern contexts.
Let’s not forget the influence that European electronic disco music had on what eventually became the dance music we know and love, so even if you aren’t a retro fetishist, you’ll find plenty of inspiration and usefulness in them.

Paradiso is out now. Grab your copy for just $25. Available here.
