As Toronto gears up for another thrilling festival season, the city’s very own Electric Island series stands at the forefront, marking the beginning of this year’s summer festivities.
Returning to the newly embraced The Bentway, Electric Island’s season opener offers attendees a captivating outdoor experience amidst panoramic parkside views of the city. Set across the May 18–19 weekend, Electric Island promises two days filled with pulsating techno and electronic beats, setting the tone for a vibrant season ahead.
For their inaugural event, Electric Island has curated an impressive lineup of twenty headlining and local acts, showcasing a diverse array of talent across two stages. Saturday’s program boasts techno and house luminaries such as The Martinez Brothers and Vintage Culture, along with a late addition from special guest and house veteran, Danny Tenaglia. Sunday’s lineup is equally compelling, featuring international favorites like Solomun, Sama’ Abdulhadi, and Denis Sulta, ensuring a memorable conclusion to the festival weekend.
Co-presented by local heavyweights Embrace, Platform, and Footwork, this seasonal day-to-night event series celebrates its twelfth year, infusing Toronto with the spirit of summer across four unforgettable weekends.
