Rezz Shares Anticipated Rework Of 2016 Breakthrough Hit, “Edge”

Midtempo bass artist and beloved “space mom” Rezz has today released a highly anticipated rework of her 2016 breakthrough hit, “Edge,” via mau5trap.

Eight years on from the track’s original release on her The Silence Is Deafening EP, Rezz’s “EDGE (2024 Version)” brings the classic into the future. Hypnotizing basslines, extraterrestrial toplines, and some seriously beefed-up industrial stomper tones make it even more haunting than the already eerie original.

“I had found the project file on my very first laptop & thought, ‘Hm, how can I modernize this with my current tastes & updated production knowledge,’” Rezz wrote of the rework on Instagram today. “I made sure to keep the drops sounding as jarring than ever. Hope u enjoy it the same way I do.”

Now firmly in her “bass music era” following the March release of her latest album CAN YOU SEE ME?, the Canadian producer-DJ also hinted that even more “Edge” remixes are on the way soon.

In the coming weeks, Rezz will perform at both editions of Insomniac’s Beyond Wonderland—Chicago and The Gorge—before the final leg of her self-produced album tour runs through New York City on July 6.

Later on in the summer, she’ll also touch down at Tomorrowland and HARD Summer for two special REZZMAU5 performances and head to Colorado for REZZ ROCKS VI, bringing along an all-female support lineup for her sixth headline appearance at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre.
