Lumasi Drops Revamped "Lower" With ProbCause After Viral Flip's Takedown

It's not much of a question whether or not many have heard Flo-Rida and T-Pain's "Low"—the song has been many a party-goer’s anthem for years. The question is, have you heard Lumasi's version?

Lumasi, an emerging bass artist known for his wonky production and remixes of nostalgic tracks, recently garnered attention for a nasty flip of "Low" by virtue of a viral TikTok video, which racked up views into the millions. His rework, which tells listeners to get "lower" before blasting them with unbridled, gritty bass, has since taken off on wings of its own as a popular DJ tool.

Not everyone loved the attention, however, as the remix faced a takedown notice issued by major labels back in February. So Lumasi forged ahead to produce a new version of "Lower," which today released via Subtronics' Cyclops Recordings. The track features the smooth lyricism of Illinois rapper ProbCause, whose vocals replace those originally executed by Flo-Rida.

Lumasi's new single, which arrives ahead of a fall 2024 tour, retains all the same wubs and wobbly bass of its predecessor while ProbCause delivers bars that breathe new life without overpowering its original draw. Give it a listen below and find it on streaming platforms here.
