6 Top EDM DJs of 2025 and Where the Rankings Agree
The top EDM DJs 2025 by the biggest rankings are David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Alok, Skrillex, FISHER and Dom Dolla. Guetta and Garrix suit fans of big, melodic mainstage records. Alok suits anyone who likes feel-good Brazilian bass, and Skrillex is the pick for heavy bass music. FISHER and Dom Dolla are the best starting points if you want house and tech house. A good pick ranks high on more than one list and has a live record to back it up.
The problem is that the lists rarely agree. DJ Mag's fan poll and the algorithm-based Climax ranking share only two names in their top ten. A fan-made list built on who packs venues looks different again. If you only open one of them, you get a skewed picture of who is actually on top.
At RIKIO ROCKS we follow EDM news every day, so we pulled the main 2025 rankings together. Below you will find six DJs, where each one sits on the major lists, and what they sound like live. After that comes a side-by-side comparison of the top tens and a short guide to the top house DJs of 2025.
1. David Guetta
David Guetta is the safest answer to "who is the top EDM DJ of 2025", because he leads both of the big public rankings. He is also the best entry point for a casual listener.

How the major lists rank him
DJ Mag's Top 100 poll and the Climax global ranking both put Guetta first for 2025. The 2026 DJ Mag edition kept him at the top as well, so this is not a one-year result.
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2025: No. 1
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2026: No. 1
- Climax global ranking, 2025: No. 1
- Funktasy's editorial top 10 for 2025: included
Sound, standout moments, and who he suits
Guetta built his career on pop-leaning house with star features. "I Don't Wanna Wait" with OneRepublic reworks an old O-Zone melody into a modern house anthem. His collaboration with IVE, "Supernova Love," samples Ryuichi Sakamoto's theme from the film "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence."
Guetta is the one DJ every major 2025 ranking agrees on.
His live calendar in 2025 included a Monday residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza from June to October and a headline slot at Creamfields. This is the right pick for first-time festival goers and anyone who wants radio-friendly dance music without digging through underground catalogs.
2. Martin Garrix
Martin Garrix is the top pick for fans of melodic big-room and festival anthems. He sits second on DJ Mag in both 2025 and 2026, which makes him the most stable name in the top three.
How the major lists rank him
DJ Mag's fans love him, while the Climax algorithm places him lower. That gap is common for mainstage acts with devoted followings.
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2025: No. 2
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2026: No. 2
- Climax global ranking, 2025: No. 19
- Funktasy's editorial top 10 for 2025: included
Sound, standout moments, and who he suits
Garrix broke through as a teenager with "Animals," and his catalog has since moved toward emotional, melody-first festival records. His 2024 releases "Carry You" and "Breakaway" show the formula: soaring leads, big drops, and vocals that carry the song.
If you want the sound of a main stage at full volume, start with Garrix.
His 2025 tour spanned multiple continents. He suits fans of stadium-sized sets and listeners who came to EDM through pop crossovers. If you prefer darker, groovier club music, look at the house names later in this list.
3. Alok
Alok is the best pick for feel-good dance-pop and Brazilian bass, and he is a strong third on the DJ Mag poll. That ranking comes from fan voting, which suits a DJ with a huge audience across Latin America.
How the major lists rank him
Alok is high on DJ Mag, lower on Climax, and an early name on Funktasy's editorial list of ten.
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2025: No. 3
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2026: No. 4
- Climax global ranking, 2025: No. 34
- Funktasy's editorial top 10 for 2025: included
Sound, standout moments, and who he suits
Alok is the son of two pioneers of electronic music in Brazil. His sound pairs hooky melodies with Brazilian bass rhythms, as on "Never Let Me Go" and "Big Jet Plane." In 2024 he released "Deep in Your Love" with Bebe Rexha, and in 2025 he teamed up with Armin van Buuren on "Euphoria."
Alok proves that fan-vote rankings reward warmth and singalongs as much as technical edge.
Outside the studio, his album "The Future Is Ancestral" was made with 50 indigenous Brazilian musicians, with all royalties going to the communities involved. His 2025 bookings included EDC, Coachella and Tomorrowland Belgium. He suits listeners who want uplifting festival music with a pop edge.
4. Skrillex
Skrillex is the pick for bass music, and he shows how much the rankings depend on method. He is third on the Climax ranking but outside the top 30 on DJ Mag's 2025 poll.

How the major lists rank him
The spread between his positions is the widest of the six DJs here.
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2025: No. 31
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2026: No. 25
- Climax global ranking, 2025: No. 3
- Funktasy's editorial top 10 for 2025: included (second year in a row)
Sound, standout moments, and who he suits
Skrillex moved from the dubstep that made his name toward genre-blending bass, house and experimental sound design. His 2024 releases included "Heavy Heart," "Talk to Me" and "Push." In 2025 he was set to headline Ultra Music Festival and EDC Korea.
A DJ can rank third on one list and thirty-first on another, so always check how a ranking is built.
He also plays pop-up shows as a trio with Fred again.. and Four Tet. Their Madison Square Garden date reportedly sold out within three minutes. Skrillex suits fans who want heavy, unpredictable sets and anyone curious about how far bass music has traveled.
5. FISHER
FISHER is the best top-ten pick for tech house. He ranked seventh on DJ Mag's 2025 poll, which makes him the highest house name on that list.
How the major lists rank him
His DJ Mag placing is far above his Climax position, which suggests strong fan loyalty and club credibility more than streaming volume.
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2025: No. 7
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2026: No. 9
- Climax global ranking, 2025: No. 36

Sound, standout moments, and who he suits
The Australian DJ plays bouncy, bass-heavy tech house built around vocal hooks and simple, effective grooves. "Losing It" is the track most people know, and it works as a one-song introduction to his style.
FISHER is where fan polls and club crowds overlap most clearly in 2025.
One of the standout moments of the year was his back-to-back set with Chris Lake, which packed Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles with thousands of ravers dancing in the street. FISHER suits club-minded listeners who want a groove that holds from the first beat to the last.
6. Dom Dolla
Dom Dolla is the best pick if you want groovy, disco-tinged house with real chart and ticket numbers behind it. He sits mid-table on the big lists but shows up on editorial picks.
How the major lists rank him
He lands outside the top 30 on both fan and algorithm lists, but his live results are among the strongest of any house act in 2025.
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2025: No. 41
- DJ Mag Top 100, 2026: No. 38
- Climax global ranking, 2025: No. 33
- Funktasy's editorial top 10 for 2025: included
Sound, standout moments, and who he suits
The Melbourne producer started as a graphic designer before turning to music full time around 2013. "Saving Up" won Best Dance/Electronic Release at the 2024 ARIA Music Awards. "Eat Your Man" and "Rhyme Dust" with MK show his range from darker to brighter club sounds.
Dom Dolla's ticket numbers say more about his reach than his list position does.
His 2024 Australian tour sold over 170,000 tickets, a record for an electronic artist in the country. He then sold out Madison Square Garden twice and started a summer residency at HÏ Ibiza. He suits house fans who want melody and swing over raw intensity.
How the 2025 rankings compare, and where house fits
The big rankings agree on very little beyond Guetta, and that is the key to reading them. Each list measures something different, so the right choice depends on what you want to know.
Two top tens side by side
DJ Mag's 2025 top ten and the Climax top ten share only two names, Guetta and Armin van Buuren. The DJ Mag column below uses 2025 positions, derived from the movement markers on the 2026 poll.

Why the lists disagree
DJ Mag's Top 100 is a public fan poll, so it rewards loyal fanbases and big mainstage brands. The Climax list is described as algorithm-based, which favors artists with strong online numbers. A festival-booking list awards points per gig, so it favors DJs who work constantly.
None of these methods is wrong. They answer different questions: who do fans vote for, who is big online, and who gets booked.
Top house DJs 2025 across the lists
House shows up across all of these rankings, but the names change by method. This is how the main house and tech house DJs landed:
-
FISHER: No. 7 on DJ Mag 2025, No. 36 on Climax
-
Dom Dolla: No. 41 on DJ Mag 2025, No. 33 on Climax
-
John Summit: No. 7 on Climax, but No. 46 on DJ Mag 2025
-
Chris Lake: No. 13 on Climax and a Funktasy top 10 pick
-
Peggy Gou: No. 12 on DJ Mag 2025
-
Mau P: No. 29 on Climax, with a strong fan following
For house, FISHER leads the fan polls and John Summit leads the algorithms.

Pick your DJs by sound, not just rank
Guetta is the one name on top everywhere, and Garrix, Alok, Skrillex, FISHER and Dom Dolla cover the rest of what the 2025 rankings reward. A list position tells you who is popular. It does not tell you who you will enjoy. Match each DJ to the sound you actually like, then check their live record.
